Bavarian red & gold portrait cake torte server serving plate Victorian couple "Love Story" ~ Beautiful antique cake plate, torte serving, serving platter in a harder to find red background color, lots of fine gilding, loaded with rich detail, colorful portraits Markings : The main center portrait is signed, "Fragonard", on the lower right hand corner. It is stamped on the back, "STW Bavaria, Germany, MC 801" within a green shield with crown on top, with beehive maker's mark logo. Size : Measures 11-5/8" across, including the handles Condition : Excellent vintage collecting, displaying and gift-giving condition; there are no chips,cracks, utensil marks, crazing, water damage or repairs...it's beautiful, shiny and has been very well taken care of.
