An 11x14 B&W double-weight pearl finish ORIGINAL VINTAGE portrait of popular leading lady Sue Carol, who left films in the late 1930s to become a Hollywood agent and the wife of Alan Ladd. Photo is by Universal photographer ROMAN FREULICH and is stamped on back. Also on back is a snipe for a 1920s film titled The Dead Line, though no such film with Carol exists. Entire scan of image not visible due to size of photo. Some minor surface handling, otherwise in very good condition. *** These rare ORIGINAL VINTAGE archival photos are from the collection of famed publicist John Springer, who personally represented many of the personalities you will see in our auctions. These photos were, until recently, housed at the Corbis/Bettman Archive in New York City. They are being auctioned with the permission of the family.
