This rare book is a fantastic look at schooling in the early 1900's and is also a wealth of genealogy information for Sumner County and the surrounding south central Kansas area as it lists all classes of students and faculty by name and town or rural route and town. The last few pages list the previous 14 years graduating classes by name and address (appears to be keeping the addresses updated) and notes the deceased with an *, starting with the 1898 class through the 1911 class! Listed are from towns throughout Kansas: Mulvane, Geuda Springs, Argonia, Caldwell, South Haven, Belle Plain, Perth, Peck, Spearville, Salina, Wellington, Oxford, Conway Springs, Milan, Perth, Clearwater, Mayfield, Arkansas City, Atlanta, Independence, Protection, Torrance, Anthony and more. Also towns from Oklahoma and other states such as Seattle, Washington and Chicago Illinois. 62 pages long and not your ordinary high school year book, along with all the name and address lists it also contains: history and organization, general information~laboratories, museum, literary societies and clubs, oratory, religion, athletics, etc., course of study, and more. This book is in good condition for age, the cover has some soiling and wear~most being the splitting at the upper right of spine, the spine itself is tight and intact, the pages are good with only slight read more
