This is a collector's item for those interested in the Medical Quackery of the past! This lamp was touted to do everything from tan you to kill bacteria and cure athlete's foot! It was 1940's quackery at its best! It comes with its original eye goggles- very primitive (newer versions of this lamp had leather bound goggles and even newer versions had rubber eye goggles this type of lamp was made up through the1960s) This is a round base lamp with an adjustable position reflector containing a mercury quartz tube light bulb that produces ultraviolet light . It uses a two-wire TV cable to carry voltage to the light. The Sun-Kraft Cold Quartz Ultraviolet Ray Therapy Lamp was one of the most popular tabletop units for more than 50 years. This is in good shape, especially considering that it is over 60 years old. It is in working condition as shown in photo #1. The electrical cord is sound.
