I am very pleased to offer this outstanding large Empire 1800's library table or writing desk. This piece of furniture really makes a statement and is so rich and lavious that it will be the focal point in any den, study, or library. The piece is in excellent condition for age and is very stout and masculine by design and nature. It measures 38" wide by 78" long by 30" high. Please note that the skirting is a very profound 5" encircling the entire table and t are no drawers. I do want to point out that t are two heavy period style pedestals on each side and the base is very heavy rounding out this wonderful desk. I will say that t are a few very faint nicks on the base of the feet and around the skirting I saw only one pin size nick, but please look at all the pictures and you will see a great desk that has outstanding grain and one of a kind markings that only exotic rosewood can produce. This wood is very expensive and to have such a grand piece is a real jewel.
