This auction is for a superb item from ENICAR who were founded by Artiste Racine – a serious watch maker with a history stretching back to the mid 19 th Century. As with most high quality brands Enicar have a loyal following of collectors and their ‘Seapearl’ Diver models are though only to be matched in quality and precision by the Rolex Oyster. Their ‘Ultrasonic’ models were named as such due to their being the first watches to be cleaned using ultrasonic methods. This is an ‘Ocean Pearl’ model as stated on the back. It has a whopping 25 jewel manual movement which is in superb working order – the casing is also in top nick making this a great catch folks. Don’t miss it. The Dial The dial is signed for ENICAR at the top and 17 STAR JEWELS under the hands. At the very bottom it says SWISS MADE. Please note that despite the ‘17’ on the dial, this is a 25 jewel watch. This is a totally minimalist time piece whose Stainless Steel quality case beautifully compliments the silvered dial – classic, under stated, quality, elegant. Less is more. The back shows the Enicar Saturn symbol and a Dolphin - it says ENICAR OCEAN PEARL STAINLESS STEEL INCABLOC WATER RESISTANT SWISS 140-39-05 E. Please note we have not pressure tested this and recommend doing so before going in the water. Measurements It measures: 37mms across including the crown 34mms top to bottom not including the lugs 6mms deep Movement The movement is the ENICAR WATCH CO 25 JEWELS AR 1140 SWISS from 1965. It is in great working order and keeping great time. Please note however that vintage watches cannot be guaranteed and it is always advisable to have them serviced at regular intervals to protect your investment . Cosmetic Condition Cosmetically, there are few if any condition issues to consider. Beyond some light age commensurate wear this is in rude condition. I doubt there will be any disappointment.
