SUPERB 19TH CENTURY MEISSEN FIGURE WITH BASKET OF FLOWERS This is a stunning example of a hand decorated, 19th century Meissen figure, stood beside her rested basket of flowers. She wears a detailed dress, apron with crinoline edging and has her arm outstretched. She has straps at her rear, holding up the bottom of her dress, and she is immaculately dressed throughout. She measures 6 inches high and makes a very fine example. Underneath, she has the Meissen blue crossed swords mark. Her left hand has lost the thumb and first finger, as has the handle of the basket. The workmanship here is pure genius.
