For auction is a really superb example of a 1940's vintage AUDAX Military Style Wristwatch in top working order. It's fitted with a very high grade, fully gilt Audax signed Swiss jewelled lever movement which runs smoothly and keeps excellent time. It has a Nickle over brass case which measures 31mm in diameter excluding the winding crown x 38mm lug tip to lug tip.It has a stainless screw-on case back.There's a tiny nick mark in the case at the top of one of the bottom lugs but nothing of any consequence. The Silvered dial is in excellent condition with applied luminous numerals. There is some light "foxing" but this is only visible at a very low angle. It has luminous filled blued steel hands which are in superb condition. It comes fitted on a period black leather strap. Although not Military marked it's pretty much identical to the standard ATP issue watches of the period. I suspect it was intended for private purchase. Please ask all questions before bidding.
