This is a beautiful VICTORIAN ANTIQUE ARTS & CRAFTS CARVED WOODEN CIGARETTE CASE. In my estimation it dates from around the mid 19th Century, circa 1870-1880, but please make up your own mind about this. The case measures approx 5 1/2 inches (140mm)by 3 inches (75mm) and is made from solid mahogany and beech, to give a two tone effect to the case . It is covered on both the front and back, with BEAUTIFUL, INTRICATE hand carved floral decoration. The interior recess is approx 2 1/4 inches (60mm) , by 1/2 inch (15mm) This is a STUNNING piece. The workmanship is EXCELLENT! It is in good original condition with very light wear consistent with its great age. This is a fine example of its type and it would make a great addition to any collection. Please see the photos for condition and type There is no reserve.
