SUPERB ANTIQUE ENGLISH GOLD CADUCEUS WATCH KEY SEAL FOB A superb quality antique Georgian-era English, heavily 15 carat gold filled (tests tabouts) watch key fob; beautifully modelled in full 3d as a caduceus - two entwined snakes - with wonderful chased scales and detailed faces, and with a gold spinning section set with polished bloodstone and banded agate seals - as yet uncut. Superb quality throughout, unusual and fabulously collectable! CONDITION : All original and very good. Slightest signs of wear, watch key thread very worn. DEFECTS : None. DATE/MARKS : Around 1820/40. Not marked. DIMENSIONS : 2 inches long overall, seals 11 x 9 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
