Superb quality and very rare late 19th century Antique Kashmiri Solid Silver Kashkul shaped bowl. A Kashkul was a bowl or a pot used to deliver food to the poor. Usually the donator would anonymously leave the kashkul and it's contents at the front door of a needy household. All hand made and featuring incredible and intricate all over hand chased design of kashmiri botehs. Cast snakes head handles. Guaranteed to be all hand made in the Kashmir in around 1890. Good sized and beautifully proportioned with a length of 177mm or a full 7 inches. Weight is an impressive 149g or 5.2oz. Fine piece - 100% investment offered with no reserve and a ridiculous start price.
