This is a superb example of an antique .. Rudolstadt Volkstedt .. Porcelain `Young Boy` Figure, ... made by `Triebner, Ens & Ekkert .. Thuringia` ... and dating from circa. 1880. The figurine is superbly modelled .. as a young boy, ... dressed in period attire, ... carrying a basket of flowers over his right arm, ... superbly decorated in hand-painted .. fine detail, ... standing on a naturalistic base, ... enhanced with applied floral decoration. The figure bears a `Rudolstadt Volkstedt` factory back-stamp .. as shown in the photos. (This back-stamp was registered in 1877.) This figure is one of a pair, .. the other figure of a young girl .. is also being offered for sale this week. The figure is in very good condition. There are no cracks or chips. No damage or repairs.
