A Superb Antique Solid Silver Tea Set. London 1897 Lovely Victorian design. The set features a solid silver teapot, sugar basin and milkjug. Each piece is fully hallmarked for London Assay with the makers make GJ & DY. The set is in excellent antic condition. Not Monogrammed. The total combined weight is 387 grams. Teapot measures approx. 105mm in diameter, sugar bowl 75 mm. & cream jug 58mm. Antique and vintage silver has been around for a long time and as such will always show signs of it's age and use. Silver is soft and attracts surface scratching and age marks easily. I always mention all significant details of any noteworthy damage, but do not expect any antique to be in perfect condition.
