I have for auction this stunning vintage Christofle canteen of silver plated cutlery for 12 people, it came to me through a house clearance here in the South of France. The pattern is called Aria, this is a vintage canteen of cutlery and the original box shows some minute signs of use, please see photo's but this stunning cutlery does not look like it has had much use at all, I researched this cutlery on the internet, this pattern is still made today, I priced each piece and the total value was 3,873 Euros to buy new today, the ladle alone was 273 Euros, so I am selling at a very low starting price. Each of the 49 pieces is clearly marked; I adore the pattern in one way it looks very modern yet it has a slight Art Deco look to it, it also reminds me of the pattern used by Cartier on the Pasha designed items. It is truely stunning! I can just imagine how opulent it will look laid out on a large dinning table for 12 people on fine linen with fine Baccarat crystal glasses and Flora Danica porcelain, wow, your guests are going to be very impressed. There are 12 place settings in this canteen plus the stunning large ladle, each piece has clear marks for Christofle and the knifes have the Christofle signature, so your guests will know what fine cutlery they are about to use.
