Diamond in KimberliteMirny Mine, Mirny, Sakha Republic, Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia4.53cm x 3.64cm x 2.37cmEx. Sacchi CollectionDescription/Interesting Notes:An outstanding example of diamond in matrix from this famed Russian locale!!! Diamond specimens are almost always encountered as loose crystals, with matrix examples being exceedingly scarce (and of the few matrix examples that are encountered many are often faked or repaired)!!! I personally excavated some of the surrounding matrix to better expose the crystal, however it is still deeply embedded (50% of the crystal is still within the matrix)!!! This specimen is absolutely, positively, guaranteed to be a 100% natural matrix diamond specimen!!! This specimen hosts a razor-sharp, gem diamond crytal prominently perched on dark greenish kimberlite matrix!!! The crystal is complete, undamaged and measures nearly 7mm!!! The crystal read more
