Superb Fisher Sterling Silver George Washington Pounce Pot - Pepperette This auction is for a superb, very unusual little silver item. It is marked on the base `Reproduction "George Washington" Sterling`. It also has a Fisher label. Very nicely made, tight fitting pull off lid, presumably for use as a pepperette, but I think that as it is a reproduction from a Washington piece dating from the 18th century, that it is modelled on a pounce pot (for drying your ink). Age not known. Approx size:- 1.6" x 1.6" x 1.6" tall. Approx weight:- 43.4 grams. Condition:- Excellent. Marked as per photos.
