This lovely wine or decanter label, also called a bottle ticket, was made by the renowned London silversmith HESTER BATEMAN . It is in a lovely form and has been finely engraved with the word ‘ W ∙ PORT’ for wine port. The rear of this beautiful item is stamped with the part maker’s mark H in a script from, plus the Georgian lion duty stamp for sterling silver. Although this is a miss stamp (very rare in itself) it is defiantly by Bateman (please see the photos for more detail). This label is being offered for sale with a very low starting price and NO RESERVE! A true collectors piece, in wonderful condition. The photographs simply do no justice to this superb item of rare Georgian Silverware! The details are:- Condition:-Good for its age, just in need of a light clean as it has tarnished with age.
