WHAT A LOVELY ANTIQUE EARLY VICTORIAN SET OF DINNER FORKS! EACH IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. And of a very good weight and very special being by GA. They are fabulous forks in a highly popular traditional pattern. Here we have a quite exceptional and quite lovely set of 4 hallmarked silver meat forks of terrific gauge and weight.Hallmarks are deep and clear on all of them. They are a truly wonderful 19th century lot well worth owning. Their condition is terrific and they have been used seldom. The hallmarks are carefully struck on the back of the stem. Each piece is fabulous and they are way too good to just melt. Each is assayed in London and dated 1850 (year letter p).They all have a maker's mark for premier flatware maker of the period George W Adams.His mark is found on page 56 of Jackson's pocket edition. The pattern is kings and is double struck. This is a lovely antique lot and a must have. A really delightful set! Their length is very large at 8.5 inches. These lovely forks are of exceptional quality and each is a most delightful piece of hefty table silver. Weight of actual silver is a sublime 417 grams (13.41 troy ounces),each piece is made of very thick gauge silver throughout. The condition is superb and they are of superior quality and condition.All are engraved with a lovely bird and snake crest to the back. Tines are read more
