The box was made by W&J Milne 126 Princes Street Edinburgh to the highest standards with superb quality engraved lock by Bramah of London, gold tooled leather interior and exterior covering, red velvet slope and fully engraved full length piano hinge and other brass furniture including recessed carrying handle. The box contains a leather lined lift out tray and two brass lidded glass inkwells. The lock is fully functioning and the original key is present. The box measures 12" x 9.5" x 5.5". It is in nice, sound, useable condition as per photos showing some expected scuffing to the exterior, ink staining to the interior and one ink bottle has a chipped base.
