A superb silver cased pocket watch with a superb signed 'Patent' fusee lever movement 'J.J. Drielsma, Liverpool', dating to 1839/40, in very good condition and good working order, keeping good time. The silver case is in good condition, hinges tight and covers lock shut, no dints. The case is hallmarked for Chester, 1839/40, initials 'ILS&Co' and numbered '575' matching the movement number. The case is 50mm overall diameter ignoring the pendant. The enamel dial is in excellent condition, no chips or hairlines. The convex bevelled glass crystal and hands are in good condition. The jewelled fusee lever movement is in good condition and good working order, keeping good time. The movement is signed 'J.J. Drielsma, Liverpool' and numbered '575' and is marked 'PATENT' on the balance cock. The movement has a diamond end stone in the balance cock and Liverpool jewels, it is also fitted with a 'Stop' lever which is in working order. The movement is key wind and set which work fine, modern key included. Lovely watch.
