The Surprise Doll - by Morrell Gipson This is the 1949 Wonder Book hardcover edition with gorgeous illustrations by Steffie Lerch. Charming children's story about a girl named Mary. Her father is a sea captain and has brought her 6 dolls from all over the world during his travels. Mary, however, wants a 7th doll, a "doll for Sunday" and she asks the town's dollmaker to make her one. Book is in good vintage condition with a clean interior with no personalization, rips, tears, spill or marks. The spine shows some wear to top and bottom but is intact and free of tears.
