They also made a very rare 1/2 Railroad Gauge Tapes with 1/2 Railroad Gauge markings on them, one of which was offered on another auction on eBay. The box, tape, rule and leather straps are all in mint, like new, unused, new-old stock condition with the Chicago Steel Tape Co. box taping seal in place, but see the other prior auction pictures to see the typical contents. NOTE: The last two pictures in this auction are from the other box previously auctioned on eBay. This steel tape or Babbitt Chain is brand new and unused, still in its original sealed box, wrapped with wax paper and wired in four places to keep it together. This original packaging contains 100' tape, wax paper, six-inch rule with "Chainman's Conversion Rule" marked in tenths and sixteenths on one side and in hundredths on the other, as well as two heavy leather straps for tying on each end of the tape for carrying or dragging purposes and tying it all up at the end of the day when rolled up and thrown for storage.
