This is a very rare and unusually small folding pocket knife (barrel knife). It is dated 1874 and has a really nice burl wood handle. The blade folding mechanism slides out of the handle and then you push the knife up and put it back into the handle. It is really well made and has a complex brass and steel inside. The blade of the knife is very uniqually stamped with "Edward Zinn Sweden" and an "elephant". The initials 'JE" appear on the brass portion as well. It measures about 2 3/4" long folded and the blade is a mere 1 3/4" long. This beauty is in excellent condition with some evidence of sharpening on the blade. WHAT A WONDERFUL STOCKING STUFFER!! !!
