Hi......welcome to my listing for a primitive hand made Santa bringing holiday wishes to you and yours! Santa looks sweet sitting in a chair by the fireplace, under the tree or can be tucked in among your other prim holiday decorations. Santa's body is made out of osnaburg fabric and he measures about 20" tall. The osnaburg fabric was coffee stained before his body was cut out and then again after the sewing and his face were completed. His nose and brows are stitched with a back stitch and his eyes are satined stitched. His beard, moustache and hair are raw wool which I also lightly stained.....and they have all been hand stitched to his head. I painted his boots raw umber and his hands light brown. The painted parts were sanded before he was stained with the coffee mixture. Santa's pants are made out of red ticking fabric. His coat and hat are made out of red cotton flannel. I hand stitched cotton batting around the cuffs of his pants, the front, bottom and sleeves of his coat and around the edge of his hat. All of his clothing was also stained with a coffee mixture for an aged appearance. T are three rusty stars stitched down the front of his coat and a rusty bell on the end of his hat.
