Hi There:-) We recently moved & downsized. I know longer have a way to display my beautiful antiques so I am listing almost all my collections. I will be listing over the next few weeks, to include not only dolls & teddy bears but many of my other small collections as well . I hope many of you will come back once you see the quality & care these beautiful items are. Thanks for looking.Today for your consideration is a beautiful authentic antique jewelry box. I have owned this for many years. Perfect for "love letters" cards or tiny treasures:-) I had it shipped here from England. I think the gold wash gilt (all worn off) over brass fittings alone is the most beautiful Victorian fittings I have ever seen! Each foot is a Sea Serpent!! & so detailed there almost scary:-P The beautiful handle is just dripping with Victorian charm & character. It is a deep ruby red but not much velvet left anymore but it is still a sweet shabby & chic elegant Victorian box & breathtaking fittings. I was told it could be "Clad" sewing box, what ever that is. The inside is all original & a creamy white silk. Fraying a lot & dusty & dirty just the way us shabby cottage chic folks LOVE:-) The brass key hole cover has come off but I still have it & is included. I also found a tiny key bought it online but unfortunately it is just a hair to big. All the pieces
