This rare "Tigerman City" cookie jar replicating a post-modern architectural shape/building was designed by world-renowned architect, Stanley Tigerman, of Tigerman-McCurry Architects, and produced by Swid Powell in 1987.Poised on three ball feet, this cookie jar is a great statement piece in any kitchen or a wonderful addition if you are a collector of Tigerman City pieces, Swid-Powell, or appreciate Tigerman's influence on architecture or post-modern design.Tigerman infused an architectural aesthetic in the entire "Tigerman City" line of china, flatware, decorative objects, and household accessories, including the cookie jar. A number of other canisters had the name embossed (flour, sugar, etc.), but not the cookie jar. This item is featured on the Tigerman-McCurry website along with being included in a number of design collections around the world.Size: Approx. 12 inches tall (jar w/feet is 7 inches, jar w/o feet is 6 inches, lid approx. 5 inches high. 7-1/2 inches in diameter; opening approx. 4-1/2 inches in diameter base is 2 inches in diameter.Condition: The original label is still attached at the bottom of the cookie jar. The cookie jar has been used for display only. Excellent condition overall with no crazing, staining or chips.
