This is a hard to find glass paperweight of the late 1800's. This has a 3" diameter and is 1 1/2" in height. This has a domed round top which descends to a paneled edge. Enclosed in a cavity in the center is a brown turtle with four moving legs, and moving head and tail. The cavity is surrounded with a circle of dots and fine spokes radiating to the edge. The bottom is covered by what appears to be original leather like material. The condition is excellent. - We call this the "Tippy the Turtle Paperweight" named after a family pet. (#4093)Key Words: Victorian glass, EAPG, Early American pattern glass, pressed glass, desk accessories
