These tools were used to aid in loading magazines, to remove grip screws, and the firing pin in the Luger pistol. This is another tool that has a lot of history. It was a part of a Mauser Banner Rig that had Swiss proofing and the loading tool survived three divorces and several break-ins! This was the only such rig (pistol, holster, mags, and loading tool) that I have ever seen ( Luger Variations -Jones has a reference to a Mauser Banner with Swiss Proofing but not the complete rig). This is the only Swiss proof loading tool that I have ever seen in my Luger collecting life. Unfortunately the Mauser Banner Luger did not survive one of the divorces. Such is life I guess. This is an original Luger loading tool not an aftermarket. I have been collecting Lugers and accessories since 1968. Compare my pictures with some of the other pictures of so called "originals" found on internet auctions. This one came from my personal collection that I am parting out.
