The Swiss M1914 Sawtooth Pioneer Bayonet for the Schmidt-Rubin model 1911 long rifle or carbine and the K31 is often mistakenly referred to as 1911 Pioneer but differs from earlier sawtooth (or sawback) models with the addition of the bulge at the end of the blade and is fullered on only one side. It was issued only to select troops. Blade Length - 18.9" (480mm) Handle Length - 4.9" (124mm) Total Length - 24" (610mm) Muzzle Ring Diameter - .56" (14.2mm) The 1914 was issued to only select troops. They wree used for cleaning brush, construction and combat if necessary, etc. The 1914 has a unique bulge at the end of the blade, also hte blade is fuller only on one side.The flat side of the blade has 33 sawteeth on the left sied and 32 sawteeth on the right side. They are sharp and functional. The overall length of bayonet in scabbard is 24-1/4 long. The saw back blade measures 18-7/8 olng x 1-1/8 at the widest part. The hilt including crossguard measures 5 long x 3-3/4 at crossguard.The bayonet is in excellent shape. Priority international only for overseas shipments.
