This auction is for a tabletop Columbia Grafonola in real nice quarter-sawn oak. It’s in original condition but missing the front louvers, lid support, and speed control. If you were to replace these missing parts, and maybe wipe it down with some danish oil, this would be a beautiful machine. I went through the motor quite a while back and cleaned, adjusted, greased, and oiled where applicable. The springs are good and it winds up nicely and plays loud and clear. The chrome on the reproducer and tone arm is nice and bright. It has no missing or peeling veneer and no big gouges or scratches. This model is identical to the Columbia “Favorite” except it was built with louvers instead of doors. As you can see in the photos, the decal on the inside of the lid is in excellent condition. I tend to overkill when packaging fragile items like this for shipping so rest assured, it will get to you safely. It will be well padded and the box will be labeled “Very fragile. Please handle carefully.” That being said , I strongly recommend purchasing insurance because once I drop it off with the shipper, I’m not responsible for how they treat it. Take a look at the photos and feel free to ask questions. Thanks for looking.
