You are bidding on one SLING ATTACHMENT DEVICE especially designed to fit the PICATINNY RAIL fitted to many modern rifles. The picatinny rail is also known as MIL-STD-1913 or STANAG 2324 RAIL SYSTEM. This item will fit any rail of this type. It is a one piece design and is manufactured from aircraft grade aluminium for strength and lightness. It is locked by means of a single hex bolt ( tool supplied ) This is a military specification item - dont confuse it with items designed for airsoft or toy guns. It is low profile and rugged. It has no moving parts to rattle or wear out. It does the job of attaching your sling without excessive features you simply do not want nor need. Designed with the popular 1.25" width sling in mind but will accomodate pretty much any sling up to 1.5" width. Currently if you want to fix a sling to a rifle equipped with picatinny rail, you have a choice of sling swivels from a range of companies, some of whom are even represented here on Ebay. These range from the very expensive items from the "Big Name Brands" which will cost you up to £50. Many of these items are overly complicated with too many features and too many moving parts to rattle around or even break. Instead, why not keep it simple with the item I am offering ??
