SHE TALKS AND SAYS EVERYTHING SHE SAID WHEN BRAND NEW!!! The Chatty Cathy TALKING DOLL! SAYS MANY SENTENCES!! Chatty Cathy was born in 1959 by Mattel INC. June Foray did the voice for Chatty Cathy. The Chatty Cathy doll was such a hit that Mattel bought it out. Chatty Cathy was made in 1959 but was not sold until 1960. The dolls patent wasn't applied for until Jan of 1960. The Chatty Cathy doll was made but not advertised for sale until July of 1960. An advertisement about the doll was broadcast on the Saturday morning funnies starting in Aug 1960. The patent went through in Jan. of 1962. Chatty Cathy Doll: Blue Eyes Vintage Early Chatty Cathy Doll VINTAGE MATTEL ORIGINAL CHATTY CATHY DOLL SHE IS HIGH COLOR! SHE HAS A SOFT FACE. EXTREMELY RARE & HARD TO FIND DOLL WITH ALL ORIGINAL CLOTHES! Chatty Cathy Was The Inspiration For An Episode Of "The Twilight Zone" Entitled" "Living Doll," Originally Broadcast November 1, 1963. June Foray, Who Had Been The Voice Of The Original Chatty Cathy, Provided The Voice For Talky Tina, The "Talking"Doll In This Episode. The First Versions Of This Doll Had Strawberry Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes, And A Soft Face.
