Click Double your traffic. After its first release in 1969, Tamiya is proud to re-release the Apollo Lunar Space Craft Limited Edition 40th Anniversary Moon Landing Kit. This plastic model kit is a very highly detailed 1/70 scale model of the spacecraft that took American Astronauts to the moon. The kit includes the Command Module, Service Module, Lunar Module, Upper Third Stage LM Housing section, and two display bases. The Command Module can be separated from the Service Module. The Service Module features an opening side panel that reveals interior details such as propellant tanks and other support hardware. The Lunar Module Ascent Stage can be detached from the Descent Stage and can be docked with the Command Module. The Landing Legs on the Lunar Module can be posed in either in-flight or deployed positions. The LM housing section has clear side panels to allow for viewing the LM in the launch configuration. Two astronaut figures and a scale American Flag are included for diorama detailing. Gold foil is included to simulate the thermal blanket on the LM.
