UNSMOKED LARGE KIKO GENUINE BLOCK MEERSCHAUM BY AMBOSELI PIPE WRAPPED IN STITCHED LEATHER. MADE IN TANZANIA. THE PIPE IS APPROX. 6" IN LENGTH AND 2" TALL THE BOWL DIAMETER IS APPROX. 3/4" AND DEPTH 1" This is a vintage pipe, unsmoked and still in its original box, made by the Tanganyika Meerschaum Corporation, which was owned by Amboseli. Amboseli started the Tanganyika Meerschaum Corporation following the discovery of a large meerschaum mine in the Kilimanjaro Mountains in 1955, and later, another in the Amboseli Game Park. The pipe is covered in light brown leather and is stamped on its side " 6 KIKO TANZANIO ". The stem is stamped with a white elephant logo as well. The pipe is heavy compared to other meerschaum pipes around the same size. The original box and papers have small holes from sitting in storage for many years. The pipe is in perfect condition and unscathed by time. This is brand new old stock.
