Chemical element collection for sale. This auction features: Tantalum For sale is 91.4 grams of tantalum metal. The piece is about 1.5 x 1 x 1 inches. The piece is over 99% pure tantalum.This chunk was broken off a larger chunk/ingot and shows various fracture as well as crystalline surfaces. Tantalum is an extremely hard, durable gray-colored metal which has excellent corrosion resistance. With the right lighting and surface texture Tantalum shows a definite pinkish tinge to its metallic color. Tantalum has an extremely high melting point, exceeded only by osmium, rhenium and tungsten, and is also very dense. Photo is of actual sample for sale.
