Description ***** I JUST RETURNED FROM NEW MEXICO, WHERE I PURCHASED MANY NICE BOOKS INCLUDING A PRIVATE COLLECTION OF EDGAR RICE BURROUGHS MATERIAL; BURTS, G&Ds AND "48s" IN DUST JACKET AS WELL AS SOME VERY EARLY SOFT COVER COLLECTIBLES WHICH INCLUDE SOME FIRST EDITIONS. ***** THIS AUCTION IS FOR: THE BURROUGHS BIBLIOPHILEs TARZAN BOOK NO. 1 TARZAN OF THE APES OR "THE ILLUSTRATED TARZAN BOOKS NO. 1 PICTURIZED FROM THE NOVEL 'TARZAN OF THE APES' BY EDGAR RICE BURROUGHS 300 PICTURES BY HAL FOSTER" HOUSE OF GREYSTOKE, KANSAS CITY, MO 1967. ***** Condition: Fine. **** Book has variant (?) blue cover rather than usual golden cover, and is complete with clean, supple, pages. There is a small "33" inside back cover (limited, numbered printing perhaps? Anyone know?) Binding is tight [note that it will not lay flat - see photos], staples secure, not rusted, no spine creases, writing, folds, stains or tears. *** This book is a first edition and obviously, has been stored in a mylar sleeve for many years; I was told it came from the personal collection of Bill Gilmour . **** Images shown are typical! *** I HAVE ABOUT 200 OTHER BOOKS AND SOFT COVER ERB MATERIALS, SOME FIRST EDITIONS.
