The base of this inkwell is rectangular shaped ribbed glass all the way around with a double pen stand made on to the center front. The lids are round with a tab to swing them to the back for opening. They are attached by a single screw through to the bottom with a nut & a small rectangular washer against the glass. The top of the lids have a circular design with small bumps & scrolls. The underside of the lids are marked "Tatum Pat. App'd. For" - clear on one lid & near impossible to read on the other. "Tatum" in raised letters is on the underside of the glass. This is in remarkable condition with no cracks or stains but has a small dip in the front edge of the pen holder that is very smooth, almost like it was made that way or maybe if it is a chip it was done a long time ago & has been worn smooth. It really does feel like a dip in the glass & does not detract. Measures 6" long, 4 1/8" wide & approximately 3" high (to very top of lids) & the side walls are ½" thick. Buyer pays all shipping & handling cost.
