For auction is a used tested working Teac model X-10R reel tape recorder deck serial # 36XXX. Out of boredom, I picked this up a few weeks ago - it was very dusty and had the typical Teac problems. Things I have done to it - took it apart, cleaned, oiled/lubed, demagged the heads, replaced main belt (bought from DAE) and repaired/adjusted the pinch roller assembly. I tested every switch, control, jack (except the DBX stuff) and everything works. The rear plastic case is in very good condition with a couple of light scratches/scuffs - NO cracks. The front deck plate is almost perfect with only 1 very small ding - see in photo 4 and a slight scratch on the right meter cover - would not show in photo. It is all original with no other repairs or mods. It came from a smoke free home. Knobs are not cracked. Auction is for the deck only - NO books, manuals, cables or NAB hubs. All print/labels are perfect - no wear. It works good now but might need more roller pressure adjustments as it loosens up and gets used more. Still got a question - email me.
