This is a TEAC A-4010S or Model AR-40S. I see both model numbers but I think it's all the same thing. Either way, when I got this thing it was hurting. I replaced the main belt, with one straight from TEAC, ungummed the pinch roller mechanism and cleaned the whole thing up. The only thing I couldn't get right was the left tension arm. I think it depends on the switch in the middle dealing with tension. Deck plays fine, but someone with more skills might be able to fix that. I have a feeling its gummed like the pinch roller mechanism was. This comes with spare parts too! Brand new pinch roller, counter belts, power light, meter light, 2 of the rubber things that hold the reels on, fuses and more reflector tape for the auto reverse that still works. Both lights in the really cool black meters work! All record lights work but I don't have a mic to test that it actually records sounds. I have a feeling it's in as good of shape as everything else. This is a really cool deck that I was going to keep, but I've got a couple other new ones coming in and I can't keep them all. I will try to answer any questions I can. Also has the cardboard reel spacers. Does not come with reels. This thing is heavy so shipping might be a little bit. It's also 18x18x8 so the box will be pretty good size.
