Up for auction is a fully working Technics RS-1500US reel to reel tape recorder. For anyone not aware, the head blocks on these models were interchangeable. This one was upgraded to an RP-2422 head block as found in the RS-1506 model. It's a 4-track record head, and can play back either 2-track or 4-track tapes using the switch on the head block. It does not record as a 2-track. This deck is fully working. I've used it with both 7" reels and 10.5" reels with no issues. I no longer have any NAB adapters for it, so this auction is just for the machine itself. No adapters or tapes will be included. This thing is so reliable being that it's quartz locked and direct drive. Runs very smoothly and sounds phenomenal with quality tape. Bias controls are very useful and nice to have. All lamps work, transport is clean. There are slight scuffs/scratches from the 10.5" reels that were there when I got this machine. They're not overly noticeable, but I wanted to be sure they're pictured and mentioned in the description. Wooden sides are in great shape as is the rest of the unit cosmetically. Knobs and switches all operate smoothly with no static or noise. Don't miss out on this baby. Will be packed securely.
