We are clearing out 40 years of collecting clutter. This baseball lot was purchased at a local New England estate auction and was formerly the property of Dr. C. Allyn Russell of Concord Massachusetts. The lot consists of two scrap books of newspaper clippings from 1933-34 and 1937 as well as a baseball signed by Ted Williams (his signature is unmistakable) encased on a stand with a Ted Williams baseball card. (The baseball card is new and explains who Ted Williams is in case t is anyone who doesn't know.)The scrapbook albums contain pictues of the 1937 A.L. and N.L. championship teams, many pictures of Babe Ruth and Mayor Laguardia, Yankee stadium, the World Series opener, a caricature of Lou Gehrig, and a later picture of a young Joe Dimaggio, etc. T are many treasures from a cherished collection of sports memorabilia.
