This offering is an occupational shaving mug for a Telegraph worker, or Telephone lineman. or Railroad person. J. C. Robb must have worked in the shaving mug period ( 1875 - 1925 ). His mug shows wear to the gold on the rims,handle and name. The image of the telephone/telegraph lines and poles along railroad tracks shows some wear. The mug measures 3 15/16 inches tall by 3 5/8 inches wide excluding the handle ( 4 7/8 inches with the handle ). The mug handle has an abrasion of less than 1/4 inch, but no cracks, repairs or repainting. The base has an old makers mark that is unreadable.
