TERRITORIAL ARMY NUSING SERVICE CAPE BADGE, 1921-1950 ISSUE - RARE ITEM Silver badge in the form of an oval ring, on Tudor crown suspension, the face with crossed 'A's centrally within the ring for Queen Alexandra, the ring inscribed 'TERRITORIAL ARMY NURSING SERVICE', and below inscribed 'FORTITUDO MEA DEUS' (God is my strength - or defence); the reverse plain with 'sterling silver hallmark in this instance stamped London 1932, on original ribbon mounted for wear. I have been told these are quite rare and are not seen very often, this is only what I have been told and have no evidence to support this except this is the first one I have seen. The box is in very good condition, but the front edge is just starting to lift very slightly but that is the only part of the box I can fault. The ribbon and medal are in excellent condition. I havn't polished the medal but this can be done if preferred.
