DESCRIPTION Up for auction are 2 good testing RCA UX-201-A globe radio tubes and boxes. These triode tubes were used as amplifiers and detectors in battery radios of the 1920s. The tubes have a 5.0 volt filament. The tubes were tested as a type 01A on my US Military I-177B tube tester and gave the following mutual conductance readings:Tube 1: 750Tube 2: 850A reading of 725 is expected for a new 01A tube, so these tubes both test very good. There were no shorts indicated and the bases are tight. The boxes are in fair condition for their age. One box has a bottom side flap missing and the closure flap is almost ready to separate. The other box has a crease on one side The tubes and boxes are offered for the reasonable starting bid of $5.00.
