This is a sensational original Texaco collectable. Rarely available in any condition but in this order a remarkable example. Original Milkglass pre war Texaco pump top globe with original copper collar. Roadside Relics (Australia) have been established for over 23 years, in that time we have had very few of these........ this is the best example I have seen. Glass has no cracks or scuffs and lustre is brilliant. On inner globe neck t are some tiny nibbles to the glass edge but only what is normally seen on most globes. Paintwork seems to be 95% original with only minor touch ups to some of the black pinstriping. Copper collar is also in very good order as per photo. Overall the globe can only be described as being in excellent order. Height 17" width 16" depth 9" collarsize (outer diameter) 6". Texaco Australasia was renamed Caltex during WW2, globes were removed and destroyed as part of the new Caltex corporate image......this globe is a survivor from the late 1920's to as late as 1939 but is most certainly pre war. I am listing this globe on ebay USA as the Australian site does not allow the use of a reserve price. My reserve is realistic and represents the approximate figure lesser globes of this type have sold for in recent years. Globe will be double boxed for shipping, insurance optional. Freight will vary depending on destination, read more
