Texas Land Grant Elisha Pease YoungCo 1857 Framed For auction a Framed - State of Texas land grant, "In the Name of the State of Texas." No. 155, Vol. 14, dated 27 October 1857 . Original grant signed by Governor Elisha M. Pease. The framed document in fame measures 19 ½ inches by 15 ½ inches. The document itself measures approximately 14.75 x 12.5" It has the embossed seals of the State of Texas, Young Co., and the General Land Office. Buff parchment-like paper, folded. Also signed by the Commissioner of the General Land Office. Back has stamped and handwritten certificate of authentication and county filing notations. Land was granted - 320 acres in Young County 14 miles northwest of BelKnap - Survey No. 156 on 15 th of April 1852. - with the usual survey coordinates. CONDITION: Very Good with usual wear and browning at folds. Pencil notation in top margin. Very minor brown spotting.
