Offered is this great, truly priceless handbill/flyer from the vaunted early Austin punk scene, advertising THE DICKS show at NIGHT LIFE, playing with FEMME FATALE. If memory serves me correctly- which is asking a lot, these days- this was The Dicks final show in Austin before moving to San Francisco. That would put the year as 1982. Pictured on flyer is lead singer Gary Floyd, in drag, alongside the great godfather of Austin punk, Mister Joseph Gonzales, owner/operator of Raul's Club, the original Austin punk venue. Two true GIANTS of the Austin punk scene. This is an ORIGINAL flyer. I don't do reproductions, unless i am the poster artist. Poster artist is uncredited. Photo CAPTION at bottom has been left blank, encouraging audience participation. On this flyer, someone has written in pencil "At least I was a runnerup." Flyer in basic GOOD used condition, showing wear, as a real punk flyer should. Nothing worse than a punk flyer in FINE or MINT condition...it's a bloody oxymoron. A real punk flyer should have pinholes, staple-slashes, tape marks, etc., proving that it was once used for the purpose for which it was intended. This one shows pinholes at all four corners, a couple of light corner creases, other light marks of wear. The three white dots at bottom edge are scuff marks from tape. Has been folded lightly mid-way, top read more
