is your opportunity to own a piece of movie history!I have up for auction a screen worn AUTHENTIC jersey from the movie The Final Season starring Sean Astin and Powers Boothe.This would look great in a frame and would make an excellent conversation piece.It's based on a true story ofmiddle America, from Norway, Iowa. In 1990, Norway was a town of lessthan 600 people. The high school had just a little over 100 students. Yet that little school's baseball tradition was extraordinary. That year, it won its 19th statewide championship. Then disaster struck: Officials in Des Moines, known as the "big city" , decided to close Norway and merge it with another high school. The baseball team was allowed one more season, but its inspirational manager, Jim Van Scoyoc (Powers Boothe), was forced out. Instead Kent Stock (Sean Astin), who had worked as an assistant coach for half a season, was hired by the school board to replace Van Scoyoc, with the hope - or so the movie says - that he would fail miserably.I picked up these jerseys at an auction held by Wears Auctioneering in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They were auctioning off all types of props and autographed items after the filming was finished.
