WHAT AN AWESOME COLLECTIBLE !!! You are bidding on a "THUNDER" - AN ELEPHANT FIGURINE FROM "THE HERD" BY MARTY CAREY! This is a great piece from the set sculpted by Marty Carey. It is marked "The HERD, Thunder, 3113, 1990, Marty Sculpture, Inc., Milton, VT". The story stone is included and states "THUNDER, Huge! Powerful! Commanding! This nomad roams the plains in search of worthy mates." "Thunder" is in great shape. (See photos.) "Thunder" is approximately 12 inches long and 10 inches high with his trunk raised. "Thunder" weighs almost 4 pounds. T is no box with this item. This figurine retails for big bucks, because with the 1990 date, it has long been retired. It is not even pictured on the Marty Carey website! Included are the tusks (and one spare) and the tusk attachment clay. The tusks will remain removed for shipping. Thunder does have one problem. (See photos.) When the person who previously owned him removed his tusks, they broke off some of the surrounding "elephant skin" or "tusk line". I believe that someone knowledgeable could easily repair this. You could probably even camouflage the damage with the tusk attachment clay or some brown magic marker. I have tried to photograph these two flaws as accurately as possible, so that you know exactly what you will be receiving. Otherwise, "Thunder" is in great shape! THE HERD is an absolutely wonderful collection of elephant figurines and we have many of them for sale. This is a rare, hard to find figurine and would be a great addition to your home or your Marty Carey elephant figurine collection. Please check out our other listings.
