This is a script for show #1 of "The Thorn Birds",written by Colleen McCullough,a David L. Wolper Production.This is a second draft dated July 12,1982 and contains 169 pages.Show # 1 contains the script for the years 1920-1929.The front title page is signed"Best Wishes,Richard Chamberlain",who starred in the mini series that ran in 1983.Richard Chamberland,who also played TV's Dr. Kildare,"Shogun",among his many credits played the character "Ralph de Bricassart" in this show. I obtained this script from the Museum of Television and Radio in the mid 1990's when I was a member and they were putting collectible pieces for sale during the holidays.I purchased this script along with a signed "Murder She Wrote,a cast signed"All My Children",and a script from "Dynasty" signed by Aaron Spelling.The museum has since been renamed "The William S. Paley Center" and is located in both NY and L.A. The script is held together by three butterfly type fasteners and the top fastener holding the cover page is torn ,but the other two securely hold the cover page to the script.Check out my other items !
